Briton, The End Is Near ... Damn It
Nov. 28th, 2011 04:02 pmThings had gotten worse. She hadn't thought that anything could get worse after her father and the uncles all disappeared, but it hadn't stopped.
Sherwood was gone. She didn't know when it happened, just at some point when she wasn't as aware of things as she should be, something had swallowed up the forest that had been her home and now there was just blackness. Reports were coming in from all over the land about the same thing happening.
Gwynn paced the floor of the room that the council had taken over to make plans for times of war, and at this thought she was struck with the urge to start laughing. War? How did one make war on something that looked to be sent by the Lord himself? How did one make war on something like the storm of darkness that was destroying their country?
( She hadn't been a friend of the Lord God before and at this moment she wasn't inclined to change that relationship, but there were others to think of. )
At the same time that Gwynn wanted to start screaming at the men in front of her, she noticed that it had gotten horribly silent outside.
